MES Named Illinois Spotlight School

Please help Marissa Elementary go "green" by signing up for our new paper saving program.  Click here for a form to request announcements, health updates, and any other flyers via e-mail. Participation will serve two purposes:
       - Help conserve the amount of paper used.
       - Ensure that important papers are reaching you at home and are not lost.

Marissa Elementary has been named a 2009 Spotlight School by the Illinois State Board of Education.  Spotlight Schools are "high poverty schools where high academic performance is closing the 'achievement gap.'"  Spotlight schools show that low-income students and schools with limited resources can show impressive academic performance.

MES faculty and staff are very proud of this achievement and we will continue to push forward in our efforts to provide opportunities for our students to reach their fullest potential.
