It is the mission of Marissa Unit #40 School System to foster and develop a desire to learn, provide and establish tools to know how to learn, and build and instill confidence to know that the student can learn.

Own a Piece of History From Your Hometown School
For a small donation, you can own an authentic brick from the old Marissa Township High School.  The 103 year-old building was constructed in 1908.  After years of aging, it was demolished in January 2011.  Community members, alumni, and friends have an opportunity to purchase a brick as a keepsake that will also help support the future of Marissa’s kids.  All proceeds from the brick purchases will be donated to the Marissa Jr.-Sr. High School Foundation fund to provide scholarships for Marissa high school graduates pursuing a college education.  Each brick will come with a certificate of authenticity and a customized engraved plate for only $25.00.  If you have questions, you may contact the Marissa CUSD #40 office at (618) 295-2313.
