NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
Notice is hereby given by the Board of Education of District #40 in the counties of Washington and St. Clair, State of Illinois. The following Public Hearings have been set as follows: 1) Amended Budget- for the said school district for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2019 will be on file and available for public inspection at Marissa Community Unit District #40 Central Office, 1 East Marissa Street, Marissa, IL in this school district from and after 8:00 A.M. on the 29th day of May 2020 until the 29th day of June 2020, with a Public Hearing set for 7:00 P.M.; 2) Attendance Waiver- for the said school district to apply for the attendance waiver in accordance with Section 2-3.25g of the School Code (105 ILCS 5/2-3.25g]. with a Public Hearing set for 7:05 P.M.; 3) Tort Fund Transfer- for the said district to transfer funds from its Tort Fund to the Operations and Maintenance Fund, for the sole purpose of meeting one-time, non-recurring expenses, as authorized pursuant to section 17-2A of the School Code (105 ILCS 5/17-2A), with a Public Hearing set for 7:10 P.M. For each hearing, the Board of Education will receive written or oral comments or questions provided.
