Principals Message

Welcome to Marissa Jr/Sr High School!  My name is Melissa (Missy) Meyer, and I am excited to begin my first year as Principal of Marissa Jr/Sr High School.   This is my 24th year in education, with 18 years as a Health and Special Education teacher and five years as a high school principal.   I have been involved in all areas of education, including a parochial school, an alternative program, and public schools.  I feel very fortunate to be with the staff here.  MJSHS is a great combination of a small town school while offering students a well-rounded education with many extracurricular options.

The faculty and staff believe in the district's mission to foster and develop a desire for students to learn by providing the skills necessary to be confident and successful.  To accomplish this, all stakeholders must be involved.  The school has a strong sense of community and understands the importance of getting the parents involved.  We offer many opportunities for parents to be involved in their children’s education.
